Happy 250 America!

This weekend was a perfect 4th July weekend. My children are both finally old enough to risk staying up late to watch fireworks, so this year was the first 4th of July my husband and I have really celebrated since having children.

We were generously invited to share in the celebrations at a friend's beach house around the corner from Gig Harbor on the peninsula. What a great time was had by all. The food was delicious, the view was spectacular, and the private fireworks display was outstanding. There were even sparklers to be enjoyed. My daughter especially loved the thrill of holding fire in her hands. I think the only 'person' not enjoying the festivities was our dog, who found her way into the drivers wheel well to hide :(

We're all (appart from the dog) looking forward to doing it all again next year!
