The fight against salmon berries

Now that the weather is getting better I am finally getting around to fighting those persistent salmon berries that are trying to take over parts of my garden. They don't produce any berries and they are slowly destroying the plants that were lovingly planted by previous owners (who by the way were master gardeners). I've learned that you have to remove all the roots to really have any chance of removing them properly. Thank goodness my husband is helping (i.e providing the strength) to get those roots out. You can see here just one plant and it's roots. Since I am busy during the week with building my plastic surgery clinic, it might take a few weeks to get this job done!
